RUF Oak are a dense wood briquette, made from finely ground oak sawdust

Pack: 12 blocks = 10kg approx
RUF Oak are a dense wood briquette, made from finely ground oak sawdust.
They’re pale brown in colour and very well-compressed.
Because they’re square, RUF blocks don’t roll in the hearth, so they’re easy and safe to use in an open fire.
Giving out a steady heat with a nice flame, these are really easy-to-use-briquettes. They burn for around two hours depending on airflow and give off good heat for the duration of their burn time.
RUF Oak are great to get the fire going, used as a ‘heat sink’ in the back of the fire, where they will glow for a couple of hours and help create a really good heart in your fire. Many people also use RUF Beech as a sole fuel throughout the burn. They are a handy size so are excellent on a smaller stove or open fire.
Our briquettes are all additive-free. They are made from pure, untreated wood by-product and are held together by compression alone.

Restricted Access: If you require a 7.5 tonne delivery vehicle, the maximum pallet weight you can order is 720kgs. This is due to industry regulations.
The Wood Fuel Co-operative offers you the ability to Pick and Mix your own pallet of wood fuel. This unique service, where we build a pallet to your exact requirements, is a flexible, cost-effective way to buy your briquettes.
‘Mix Your Own’ Pallets start with a base charge of £65, which covers the cost of packing, wrapping, strapping and delivering (surcharges apply for offshore) your pallet. This lets us offer you the unique ability to have total flexibility with your choice and quantity of products. You can put as much or as little on your base pallet as you choose, of any combination of briquettes, as long as you stay within the maximum 980kg weight limit.
Due to industry regulation changes, if you require a 7.5 tonne delivery vehicle the maximum pallet weight you can order is 720kgs. If you are unsure what vehicle size you need please phone us on 01387 731 210 to discuss your requirements.
Each pallet must have no more than 980kg on it; you will be alerted if your order exceeds the weight limit. You can order multiple ‘Mix Your Own’ Pallets but you must add each pallet to your basket separately. There are quantity restrictions on some items; this is due to packaging requirements.
*Break - We strongly recommend you break these briquettes in half (or less for very small stoves) because they do expand whilst burning and you don't want them to overfill the fire.
*Easy to light - We always use a Firelighter and Kindling Sticks to start our fires. Most briquettes are graded four stars to light because they are quite dense and require kindling.
