How much will delivery cost?

Enter the first half of your postcode to check postage rates:

Note: Price shown is per pallet

If any delivery costs apply for you, they are automatically added at checkout once you’ve put your delivery address in.

Why does it cost this to my address?

Pallet delivery companies charge us per pallet sent. The amount they charge depends on where in the country we send a pallet. The difference between areas can vary hugely.

Most orders will include delivery – so no extra charges. For areas where the delivery companies charge a lot more, we have added the smallest possible additional charge, which ranges from £15-29 for the mainland, and £55 for islands and Northern Ireland.

We do ship to Orkney and Shetland – just contact us for a quote.

How will my order be delivered?

All website orders are delivered by our partner couriers, not our own drivers.

Sample Pack Orders

Sample Packs are delivered by APC, an overnight parcel courier, and come packed in a polypropylene sack. For most orders, delivery is next day but for remote areas it may take two days for delivery.
We ask APC to leave your parcel in a safe place if you’re not home to accept delivery. If you have specific instructions for this, please let us know.

There are no access restrictions for Sample Pack deliveries.

Pallet Orders

Your goods are delivered on a pallet, the footprint of which is usually approximately 1.2m x 1m. The height of the pallet depends on the products you’ve ordered but may be up to two metres high.

The maximum weight of a pallet is 1000kg.

Accessing your property

Our pallet courier will normally deliver your order on an 18 tonne lorry with a tail lift. This means your property must be accessible to a large vehicle. If a bin lorry can access the house then an 18 tonne lorry should be able to as well but it will be up to the driver to determine this. As a guide, please check the measurements given on this page.

Standard lorry dimensions

The driver may not be able to access your property if there are:

  • low overhead lines or low hanging branches
  • low bridges or bridges with weight limits
  • narrow access roads

If you think that an 18 tonne lorry or larger will not be able to access your premises, please request a 7.5 tonne lorry when placing your order. 7.5t is the smallest vehicle we can request.

Will the driver be able to put the pallet in my garage for me?

No. The driver is contracted to deliver to the kerbside only, so it’s up to the individual driver if he/she is able or willing to wheel the pallet closer to where you would like it.
The drivers are on a tight schedule and won’t always have the time to spend wheeling the pallet long distances, onto driveways or into garages etc. Pallets are also very heavy and the driver will not be able to wheel a tonne of wood fuel on anything other than flat, level concrete or tarmac. It isn’t possible to move pallets on gravel, grass, cobbles or slopes.

Will the driver help me unload the pallet?

No. The driver is contracted to deliver the pallet to the kerbside only. They will not be able to help you unpack the pallet and put the briquettes away as they are on a tight schedule.
If you’re worried about being able to unload the packs yourself, you may want to arrange for a friend or relative to be there to help you.

Re-delivery charges

If your delivery doesn’t go accordingly to plan because of access restrictions to your property, and you have not told us about this when ordering, the haulier will recharge for a second delivery. Any additional costs will be charged to you, so please make sure you are happy that a large vehicle can access your premises and that you understand delivery is kerbside only.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Sample packs are dispatched within one or two days and are delivered next working day.

For palletised deliveries, standard delivery usually takes two working days from dispatch. Remote areas may take longer but we will email you to confirm your delivery day. If you require delivery on a specific day, please let us know this when ordering.

For example, at most times of the year, an order received by us by 12pm Monday will arrive with you on Wednesday. Orders received after 12pm Monday will arrive on Thursday.

During very busy periods, such as November and December, it may take us a little longer to dispatch your pallet but we will always keep you informed of delivery times.

Pallet orders are delivered between 9am-5pm on the day of your choice. Someone will need to be at the delivery address during these hours to receive the pallet.

Can I specify a time for my order to arrive?

Standard deliveries will arrive anytime between 8am and 5pm. We cannot provide a smaller delivery window unless you request an additional delivery service at the time of ordering. See below for a guide to these additional delivery services.

For pallet deliveries, we provide you with your consignment number and the contact details for your local delivery depot, so you can contact them directly if you require more information about your scheduled delivery.

Customers in Dumfries & Galloway

Our office and shop is in Dumfries, South West Scotland, and is open six days a week. You are welcome to collect your wood fuel from our shop. Our staff are always on hand to help you select your products and load them into your car for you.

We also offer a ‘drawdown’ option, which allows you to buy a full pallet at a time and collect packs as you require. This is great if you don’t have lots of storage room at home and is a very flexible and popular option.

For kiln-dried logs, we are able to load dumpy bags onto your trailer or van, or you can handball your logs into your car. For larger quantities, we can tip logs into your trailer. This helps you get your logs at the cheapest price.
