RUF Long Burn briquettes are a softwood bark briquette, produced in England.
RUF Long Burn is a dense softwood briquette made from the bark of UK softwood conifer trees.

Because they’re square, RUF blocks don’t roll in the hearth, so they’re easy and safe to use in an open fire.
RUF Long Burn react quickly to air flow. They light easily and burn brightly with the stove vents open but quickly go into slumber mode with the air vents closed. In slumber mode they will last anywhere between four and eight hours depending on air flow and the quality of your stove.
RUF Long Burn are perfect for extending the life of your fire either through the day or overnight.
Our briquettes are all additive-free. They are made from pure, untreated wood by-product and are held together by compression alone.

Manufacturers widely use plastic to wrap briquettes, ensuring that they stay dry. A damp briquette breaks up, making it unsuitable for burning. We genuinely care about the environmental impact of our products, and are constantly working to improve the sustainability of our packaging by using cardboard in place of plastic wherever possible. Pallets
All prices shown include the cost of mainland UK delivery. For offshore addresses, you can check if surcharges apply using our postcode checker.
Pallet Orders are delivered by our partner couriers, Palletways, not our own drivers.
Your goods are delivered on a pallet, the footprint of which is usually approximately 1.2m x 1m. The height of the pallet depends on the products you’ve ordered but may be up to two metres high.
The maximum weight of a pallet is 980kg.
Our pallet courier will normally deliver your order on an 18 tonne lorry with a tail lift. This means the kerbside of your property must be accessible to a large vehicle. If a bin lorry can access the road then an 18 tonne lorry should be able to as well but it will be up to the driver to determine this.
If Palletways are unable to deliver to the kerbside of your property, for example because of access restrictions which mean a 7.5t vehicle will not be able to get to the property’s kerbside, we will need to put special delivery arrangements in place. These arrangements may incur additional charges, for which you, the customer, are responsible. If you think you may need alternative arrangements please let us know prior to ordering so we can get a quote for you.
For detailed pallet delivery information please see our dedicated page.
Express Packs:
Wood Fuel express pack orders are sent with APC, who offer a Next Working Day service to most of the UK. Some areas are on a 2-5 day service, so if you need your order urgently please check with us first.
We do not guarantee Next Working Day delivery, although we will always dispatch your order as quickly as possible to ensure it has the best chance of arriving when you need it. Orders placed after 12pm will generally be dispatched the next day, or on Monday if placed after 12pm on a Friday.

*Break - We strongly recommend you break these briquettes in half (or less for very small stoves) because they do expand whilst burning and you don't want them to overfill the fire.
*Easy to light - We always use a Firelighter and Kindling Sticks to start our fires. Most briquettes are graded four stars to light because they are quite dense and require kindling.
