These premium kiln-dried logs are made from mixed Scottish hardwoods and cut to approximately 9 inches long. Dense and dry, they provide steady heat over a good length of time and are suitable for most wood-burning stoves and open fires.
Each bulk bag contains approximately 0.65 cubic metres of loose logs and weighs around 150kg.
What are these kiln-dried logs made from?
The bag contains a mixture of pure Scottish hardwood logs. As this is a mixed natural product, the species, colour, shape and diameter of the logs will vary from bag to bag.
The logs are kiln dried to a moisture content of approximately 10–18% and are Woodsure Ready to Burn certified.
What are they like to burn?
Hardwood is naturally dense, helping these logs produce steady heat over a longer period.
They’re a practical choice for everyday burning and work particularly well when you want the look, sound and feel of a traditional log fire.
The exact heat output and burn time will depend on your stove, chimney or flue, and airflow settings.
What appliances are they suitable for?
These Scottish hardwood logs are suitable for:
- Most wood-burning stoves
- Multifuel stoves approved for burning wood
- Open fires
- Larger fireboxes
At approximately 230mm long, they may be too large for some of the smallest stoves. Please check your firebox dimensions before ordering.
Are they suitable for open fires?
Yes. These kiln-dried hardwood logs can be used in open fires as well as suitable stoves.
Because they are a natural mixed product, the logs vary in thickness. This gives you a useful selection of sizes for building and maintaining your fire.
Are these logs Ready to Burn certified?
Yes. The logs are Woodsure Ready to Burn certified.
Ready to Burn certification shows that wood fuel meets the scheme’s requirements for domestic burning. Properly dried wood burns more efficiently and produces less smoke than wet, unseasoned wood.

As these are natural logs, individual sizes and weights will vary.
How are the logs supplied?
The logs are supplied loose in a bulk bag. The bag is strapped to a pallet and wrapped in plastic to help ensure the logs arrive dry and in good condition.
The plastic provides temporary protection during transport but isn’t intended for permanent outdoor storage.
How should kiln-dried logs be stored?
Keep the logs somewhere dry and well ventilated, preferably under cover.
A suitable log store, dry shed, garage or covered outbuilding will help protect them from rain while allowing air to circulate. Avoid leaving the bulk bag exposed to prolonged wet weather, as kiln-dried logs can absorb moisture again.
What should I know about delivery?
Delivery to most Mainland UK postcodes is included in the pallet prices shown. Offshore and some mainland addresses may have an additional charge, which can be checked using our postcode checker.
Bulk bags are delivered kerbside by Palletline, normally on an 18-tonne lorry with a tail lift. The driver will leave the pallet at the nearest safe and accessible point.
If you need a smaller 7.5-tonne vehicle, select the Access Restrictions option at checkout and request the smaller vehicle in your order notes.

About the pellets
Made from sustainably sourced British softwood, these pellets contain no added binders or additives — just compressed wood.
We use them in our own Ooni pellet oven and find they work really well.
The timber comes from FSC-certified forestry.

Waxlings are unscented firelighters, ideal for getting your pizza oven started.

Using and storing your pellets
Use in a pizza oven designed to burn wood pellets, following the manufacturer’s lighting and fuelling instructions. These pellets are not suitable for ordinary wood-burning stoves or open fires.
Keep the bags indoors and completely dry. Protect opened bags from moisture, as damp pellets swell, crumble and burn poorly.
Parcel delivery
Next working day delivery is not guaranteed. Some areas take 2–5 working days. If you need your pellets urgently, please check with us before ordering.
Orders placed after 2pm are dispatched the next working day. We do not dispatch at weekends or on bank holidays.
Boxes may be left in a safe place. Tell us in your order notes if they must not be left unattended.

Woodlets are 6mm wood pellets made in Ayrshire from sustainably sourced British softwood. They’re suitable for compatible biomass boilers, specialist pellet stoves and pellet-fired pizza ovens.
The pellets meet the ENplus A1 quality standard, have a guaranteed energy output of 4,800kWh per tonne and are registered with the Biomass Suppliers List (BSL). Every purchase comes with a BSL-compliant receipt.

Where can I use them?
Woodlets are made for appliances designed to burn 6mm wood pellets, including compatible biomass boilers, pellet stoves and pellet-fired pizza ovens. Check your appliance manufacturer’s fuel requirements before ordering.
Do not use loose wood pellets in an ordinary wood-burning stove, multi-fuel stove or open fire.
Storage
Keep the bags completely dry in a garage, watertight shed or other covered space. The plastic bags and pallet wrapping protect the pellets during delivery, but they aren’t suitable for outdoor storage. Pellets exposed to moisture can swell, break down and cause problems in an appliance’s feed system.

Offshore and some mainland addresses may have an additional charge, which can be checked using our postcode checker and pallet delivery information. Express Packs are sent by parcel courier; see our parcel delivery information for details.
Palletways deliver pallet orders at the kerbside using a tail-lift vehicle and pallet truck. The driver needs a firm, flat, level surface; pallet trucks cannot travel over gravel, grass, steps or uneven ground.
Need a smaller vehicle? Orders requiring a 7.5-tonne vehicle must weigh no more than 720kg. The 960kg full pallet needs suitable access for an 18-tonne vehicle.
