Description
Goldies Heat Logs
Goldies are short heat logs made from softwood sawdust sourced from sustainably managed Scottish forests. At 200mm long, they’re a handy choice for smaller stoves, though they also work well on open fires. The hole through the centre lets air flow through the log, helping it light and burn evenly.
Quick facts
- Pack: 5 heat logs, 7.4kg
- Size: 200mm long × 70mm wide
- Energy value: 4.8kWh/kg
- Active burn time: Typically 45 minutes to 1½ hours, depending on the stove and airflow
- Moisture: Less than 10%
- Ash content: Up to 0.9%
- Made from: Scottish softwood sawdust, with no added binders
- Certification: Ready to Burn and FSC
Using Goldies
Their shorter size means Goldies may fit into a smaller firebox without being broken. If you need a smaller piece for lighting or for a compact stove, you can break a log into sections. Leave room for air to circulate, keep the fuel clear of stove glass and follow your appliance manufacturer’s instructions.
On an open fire, add the logs gradually, keep them back from the front and use a suitable fireguard.
Pack and pallet quantities

Storage and delivery
Keep Goldies completely dry. Each pack is plastic wrapped, and the pallet is wrapped for transport. Neither wrapping should be treated as waterproof or used for outdoor storage.
Delivery to most mainland UK postcodes is included in the pallet prices shown. Some addresses have an additional charge, which you can check on our pallet delivery information page.
Palletways delivers pallets kerbside and needs a firm, level surface for unloading. If you need a 7.5-tonne vehicle, your order must weigh no more than 720kg. Goldies’ three-quarter and full pallets exceed that limit and need suitable access for an 18-tonne vehicle.
