Description
Hotmax 10kg fuel logs are made in the UK from softwood fines extracted during the manufacture of horse bedding. The small pieces light quickly and give a lively flame, making them handy for starting a fire, bringing fading embers back to life or fuelling a smaller stove.

What is Hotmax like to burn?
Hotmax lights readily and produces heat quickly. Place a few pieces around a natural firelighter, leaving room for air to move between them. You can also add a few pieces to hot embers when a fire is beginning to fade.
Hotmax works as the main fuel in a smaller stove. For a longer fire, you may prefer to use it alongside a slower-burning briquette. Burn time will vary with your stove, flue and airflow settings. Our Wood Briquette Finder can help if you’re deciding what to try.
You can use Hotmax on an open fire too. Add the pieces gradually and place them well back from the front. They may expand slightly as they burn, so leave space around them in an open fire or stove. Keep them away from the stove glass, don’t overload the firebox and use a suitable fireguard with an open fire.

How should I store Hotmax?

A complete pallet is plastic wrapped for transport, but that wrapping only offers temporary weather protection and is not suitable for outdoor storage.
Delivery and access
Delivery to most UK mainland postcodes is included in the pallet prices shown. Some mainland and offshore addresses have an additional charge, which you can check using the postcode checker on our pallet delivery information page. Express Packs are sent by parcel courier; see our parcel delivery information.
Pallets are delivered by Palletways, normally to the kerbside using a tail-lift and pallet truck. The driver needs firm, flat ground and cannot move the pallet over gravel, grass, steps or slopes.
If you need a smaller 7.5-tonne vehicle, your order must weigh no more than 720kg. A full pallet weighs 960kg and needs access for an 18-tonne vehicle. Select Access Restrictions at checkout and add a note if you need a 7.5-tonne vehicle. If you’re unsure about access, call us on 01387 731 210 before ordering.
