Description

Best of British Ready Mix

Our Best of British Ready Mix is an exciting pallet, offering you the best of homegrown wood briquettes from manufacturers across the UK!

Made from:

  • Dr Heat are carbon neutral firelighters made in England from miscanthus grass and recycled candle wax
  • Hotmax are small cobs made in England from the dust and fines extracted during horse bedding production
  • Woodlets Heat Logs are large, dense cylindrical briquettes, made in Scotland using pure wood from sustainable UK timber
  • Woodlets Briquettes are ‘squircle’ (squared circle) shaped heat logs, made in Scotland using pure wood from sustainable UK timber
  • UK Hardwood Briquettes are small, easy to break cylinders made in England by a company producing hardwood furniture
  • UK RUF are a RUF from England. They are a dense softwood briquette.

Best of British Ready Mix is perfect for:

Running your stove on the best briquettes the UK has to offer. Easy to use, this mixture of briquettes will suit most stoves. Break both the Woodlets products in half for all but the biggest stoves, which will maximise your burn time and make this mix great value for money.

None of our briquettes contain additives or chemicals. They are made from pure, untreated wood by-product and are held together by compression alone.

Packaging

These briquettes come in plastic wrapped packs. Please check with your local authority for recycling facilities.

Each pack is plastic wrapped but not always fully sealed. They are not in waterproof packaging. There will often be gaps in the wrap, due to the wrapping process. The wrap is only there to hold the packs together, rather than to weatherproof them. Please take this into account when deciding where to store your briquettes.

Pallets will arrive wrapped in plastic to protect them during their journey. This plastic will temporarily protect them from inclement weather but is not suitable for outside storage. Please ensure you are able to cover/protect the pallet if you are not able to put it under cover immediately.

Delivery

Pallets

All prices shown include the cost of mainland UK delivery. For offshore addresses, you can check if surcharges apply using our postcode checker

Pallet Orders are delivered by our partner couriers, Palletways, not our own drivers.

Your goods are delivered on a pallet, the footprint of which is usually approximately 1.2m x 1m. The height of the pallet depends on the products you’ve ordered but may be up to two metres high.

The maximum weight of a pallet is 980kg.

Our pallet courier will normally deliver your order on an 18 tonne lorry with a tail lift. This means the kerbside of your property must be accessible to a large vehicle. If a bin lorry can access the road then an 18 tonne lorry should be able to as well but it will be up to the driver to determine this.

If Palletways are unable to deliver to the kerbside of your property, for example because of access restrictions which mean a 7.5t vehicle will not be able to get to the property’s kerbside, we will need to put special delivery arrangements in place. These arrangements may incur additional charges, for which you, the customer, are responsible. If you think you may need alternative arrangements please let us know prior to ordering so we can get a quote for you.

For detailed information on pallet deliveries, please see our dedicated page.
