Description

Not sure which briquette will suit your fire? Meet the Briquettes lets you try a selection of wood briquettes and heat logs on one quarter pallet. You can compare quick-lighting fuels with denser, longer-burning ones in your own stove before choosing your favourites.

The pallet contains around 220kg of fuel, plus Waxlings and Dr Heat Firelighters to help you get started.

The selection may change with stock availability, but a typical pallet contains:

  • Beech Nestro: 2 × 10kg packs

  • OKO RUF: 1 pack of around 8.4kg
  • WillowWarm: 2 × 8.5kg packs

Total fuel weight: around 220kg. If an item is unavailable, we may substitute a suitable product while keeping the selection varied and the fuel weight close to the stated total.

Getting to know the mix

Hotmax, Roastie Toasties and UK Hardwood Briquettes are useful when you want to establish a lively fire or bring a stove back up to temperature. Woodlets, Goldies and WillowWarm give you different sizes and burning characteristics to try. The denser RUF Oak, Öko RUF, Hardwood Pini-Kay, Beech Nestro and ENVI8 let you see which longer-burning fuels work best for you.

Check the size of your firebox before using ENVI8. The large blocks cannot be broken and may be too big for a smaller stove. Some of the other fuels expand as they burn, so start with a small amount and leave room around them. For an open fire, keep the fuel well back from the edge of the grate and use a suitable fireguard. Follow the instructions for your appliance.

Storage and delivery

Keep the packs completely dry and move them under cover when they arrive. The pack and pallet wrapping should not be treated as waterproof or used for outdoor storage.

Delivery to most mainland UK postcodes is included in the pallet price. Some addresses have an additional charge; check our pallet delivery information before ordering.

Palletways deliver kerbside using a manual pallet truck, which needs a firm, flat and level surface. You’ll need to be available to receive the pallet. If you need a 7.5-tonne vehicle, select the access restrictions option at checkout and add the request to your order notes.
