Description

Envi8

Made from:

Envi8 are made from clean, kiln-dried sawdust from a company in the USA that specialises in producing high quality fuels from sustainably sourced hardwoods. The sawdust is a byproduct from preparing the timber for other industries; hardwood trees are not felled specifically to make these briquettes. These large, dense briquettes are made from oak and hard maple.

Burning characteristics:

The size of Envi8 makes them ideal for larger stoves – they will be too big for many smaller stoves. Smaller than the Envi XL, each block weighs around 1.5kg and they are impossible to break. Because of this, they give a long, hot burn on an established fire and are ideal for keeping large, greedy stoves going.

They are also suitable for burning overnight, with much less ash produced than RUF Bark bricks. Burn time will depend on your stove and air flow settings but some stoves will stay in overnight with these. However, we do not recommend smouldering (burning with low air flow) as it increases the particulates released into the atmosphere.

Please carefully check the provided measurements to ensure they will fit in your stove.

Perfect for:

Best suited to long burning in larger stoves, these chunky briquettes can reduce the need to constantly feed a greedy stove.

None of our briquettes contain additives or chemicals. They are made from pure, untreated wood by-product and are held together by compression alone.

Packaging

These briquettes come in plastic wrapped packs. Please check with your local authority for recycling facilities.

Each pack is plastic wrapped but not always fully sealed. They are not in waterproof packaging. There will often be gaps in the wrap, due to the wrapping process. The wrap is only there to hold the packs together, rather than to weatherproof them. Please take this into account when deciding where to store your briquettes.

Pallets will arrive wrapped in plastic to protect them during their journey. This plastic will temporarily protect them from inclement weather but is not suitable for outside storage. Please ensure you are able to cover/protect the pallet if you are not able to put it under cover immediately.

All prices shown include the cost of mainland UK delivery. For offshore addresses, you can check if surcharges apply using our postcode checker

Due to industry regulation changes, if you require a 7.5 tonne delivery vehicle the maximum pallet weight you can order is 720kgs. If you are unsure what vehicle size you need please phone us on 01387 731 210 to discuss your requirements.

Pallet Orders are delivered by our partner couriers, Palletways, not our own drivers.

Your goods are delivered on a pallet, the footprint of which is usually approximately 1.2m x 1m. The height of the pallet depends on the products you’ve ordered but may be up to two metres high.

The maximum weight of a pallet for non-restricted access deliveries is 980kg.

Our pallet courier will normally deliver your order on an 18 tonne lorry with a tail lift. This means the kerbside of your property must be accessible to a large vehicle. If a bin lorry can access the road then an 18 tonne lorry should be able to as well but it will be up to the driver to determine this.

A good guide is to expect the driver to leave your pallet where your bin goes out for collection.

If Palletways are unable to deliver to the kerbside of your property, for example because of access restrictions which mean a 7.5t vehicle will not be able to get to the property’s kerbside, we will need to put special delivery arrangements in place. These arrangements may incur additional charges, for which you, the customer, are responsible. If you think you may need alternative arrangements please let us know prior to ordering so we can get a quote for you.

For detailed information on pallet deliveries, please see our dedicated page.

Express Packs:

Wood Fuel express pack orders are sent with APC, who offer a Next Working Day service to most of the UK. Some areas are on a 2-5 day service, so if you need your order urgently please check with us first.

We do not guarantee Next Working Day delivery, although we will always dispatch your order as quickly as possible to ensure it has the best chance of arriving when you need it. Orders placed after 12pm will generally be dispatched the next day, or on Monday if placed after 12pm on a Friday.

Storing Your Briquettes

We recommend storing your briquettes indoors only.

Storing Your Briquettes – The Basics: DO store your briquettes in:
    • Watertight shed
    • Dry garage
    • Porch or conservatory
    • Inside house
    • Dry outbuildings
    • Some plastic garden stores, as long as they are watertight
DO NOT store your briquettes in:
    • Traditional log stores
    • Uncovered, outdoor areas
    • Buildings that are damp or have high humiditiy levels
Traditional log stores are open or vented. This is because logs require airflow around them to keep them dry. Briquettes are already dry so if they are exposed to moisture they will start to expand. This makes them useless for burning. Storing your briquettes the right way is really important.A damp briquette will just turn back into sawdust!
