Description
Dragon’s Teeth briquettes are a dense hardwood/softwood mix briquette, produced by a timber & stair construction company in Wales.
Because they’re square, RUF blocks don’t roll in the hearth, so they’re easy and safe to use in an open fire.
Burning characteristics:
Giving out a steady heat with a nice flame, these are really easy-to-use-briquettes. They burn for around two hours depending on airflow and give off good heat for the duration of their burn time.
Dragon’s Teeth are Perfect for:
Dragon’s Teeth are great to get the fire going, best used as a ‘heat sink’ in the back of the fire, where they will glow for a couple of hours and help create a really good heart in your fire. Having said that though, many people use RUF blocks as a sole fuel throughout the burn. However, they do not generate the high and consistent heat of something like Hotties or Beech Nestro. They are a handy size so are excellent on a smaller stove or open fire.
Our briquettes are all additive-free. They are made from pure, untreated wood by-product and are held together by compression alone.

Manufacturers widely use plastic to wrap briquettes, ensuring that they stay dry. A damp briquette breaks up, making it unsuitable for burning. We genuinely care about the environmental impact of our products, and are constantly working to improve the sustainability of our packaging by using cardboard in place of plastic wherever possible.
