Description

Low CO2 smokeless coal for open fires and multi-fuel stoves

Homefire Ecoal produces less smoke, less C02, and more heat and lasts longer than coal or wood.

It is made using crushed olive stones, a natural waste product from olive oil production, which is replenished every year without chopping down trees.

This smokeless eco fuel is easy to light and long-lasting and burns with an attractive flame.

Ecoal has been designed for open fires and multi-fuel stoves, where its larger hexagonal shape (75 x 40mm) promotes airflow resulting in attractive flames and loads of heat. Thanks to its high and sustained heat output, burning Ecoal can work out cheaper than burning house coal or kiln-dried firewood because whilst individual bags are more expensive, you use less for the same heat.

  • Burns with a naturally attractive flame
  • Made with crushed olive stones
  • Burns longer so can work out cheaper than house coal or kiln-dried logs
  • Emits up to 80% less smoke than house coal and 50% less than kiln-dried logs
  • Emits up to 40% less carbon dioxide than house coal

Ready To Burn Certificate No: MSF0223

Delivery

Pallets

All prices shown include the cost of mainland UK delivery. For offshore addresses, you can check if surcharges apply using our postcode checker

Due to industry regulation changes, if you require a 7.5 tonne delivery vehicle the maximum pallet weight you can order is 750kgs. If you are unsure what vehicle size you need please phone us on 01387 731 210 to discuss your requirements.

Pallet Orders are delivered by our partner couriers, Palletways, not our own drivers.

Your goods are delivered on a pallet, the footprint of which is usually approximately 1.2m x 1m. The height of the pallet depends on the products you’ve ordered but may be up to two metres high.

The maximum weight of a pallet for non-restricted access deliveries is 980kg.

Our pallet courier will normally deliver your order on an 18 tonne lorry with a tail lift. This means the kerbside of your property must be accessible to a large vehicle. If a bin lorry can access the road then an 18 tonne lorry should be able to as well but it will be up to the driver to determine this.

A good guide is to expect the driver to leave your pallet where your bin goes out for collection.

If Palletways are unable to deliver to the kerbside of your property, for example because of access restrictions which mean a 7.5t vehicle will not be able to get to the property’s kerbside, we will need to put special delivery arrangements in place. These arrangements may incur additional charges, for which you, the customer, are responsible. If you think you may need alternative arrangements please let us know prior to ordering so we can get a quote for you.

For detailed information on pallet deliveries, please see our dedicated page.

Express Packs:

Wood Fuel express pack orders are sent with APC, who offer a Next Working Day service to most of the UK. Some areas are on a 2-5 day service, so if you need your order urgently please check with us first.

We do not guarantee Next Working Day delivery, although we will always dispatch your order as quickly as possible to ensure it has the best chance of arriving when you need it. Orders placed after 12pm will generally be dispatched the next day, or on Monday if placed after 12pm on a Friday.

For further information on delivery, please see our dedicated page.

Restricted Access

Our pallet courier will normally deliver your order on an 18 tonne lorry with a tail lift. This means the kerbside of your property must be accessible to a large vehicle. If a bin lorry can access the road then an 18 tonne lorry should be able to as well but it will be up to the driver to determine this. As a guide, please check the measurements:

Length of vehicle: 11 metres; Height of vehicle 4 metres. 18T & 7.5T vehicles are the same width.

The driver may not be able to access your road if there are:
• low overhead lines or low hanging branches
• low bridges or bridges with weight limits
• narrow access roads that prevent the vehicle manoeuvering/turning

Restricted Access
If you think that an 18 tonne lorry will not be able to access your road, we can ask Palletways to use a smaller vehicle. For this option, please ensure:
• your order weighs no more than 750kg
• you tick the ‘Access Restrictions’ button at checkout
• you put in your order notes that you require a 7.5T vehicle

7.5T is the smallest vehicle we can request. If you’re not sure, please phone us on 01387 731 210 and we can check your access for you.
