RUF Oak Briquettes

RUF Oak briquettes are dense blocks made mainly from finely ground oak sawdust, with some pine. Their compact size makes them easy to handle in smaller stoves and open fires. They give steady heat and can be used as your main fuel or alongside other wood fuels.

RUF Oak may expand as it burns. Leave space around the briquettes so they cannot press against stove glass or move towards the front of an open fire.

Using RUF Oak

The blocks are useful when you want a steady bed of heat. You can place a briquette towards the back of an established fire, where it will continue to glow as it burns down, or use RUF Oak as your main fuel. Start the fire with a firelighter and kindling, add the briquettes gradually and follow your appliance manufacturer’s instructions.

Their rectangular shape helps them stay where you position them. If your firebox is particularly small, the blocks can be broken into smaller pieces.

Storage and delivery

Keep RUF Oak completely dry. Each pack is plastic wrapped, and the pallet is wrapped for transport. Neither wrapping should be treated as waterproof or used for outdoor storage.

Delivery to most mainland UK postcodes is included in the pallet prices shown. Some addresses have an additional charge, which you can check on our pallet delivery information page. Express Packs are sent separately by parcel courier.

Palletways deliver pallets kerbside and needs a firm, level surface for unloading. If you need a 7.5-tonne vehicle, your order must weigh no more than 720kg. A full pallet weighs 960kg and needs suitable access for an 18-tonne vehicle.
