Description
WillowWarm Briquettes
WillowWarm are carbon neutral heat logs from sustainable Irish sources
Made from:
WillowWarm Briquettes are made in Ireland from coppiced willow, compressed into short, dense heat logs, measuring 16cm by 7.5cm.
Willow is a Short Rotation Coppice (SRC) perennial crop, which means that once harvested, the crop is regrown. While most other crops must be ploughed, re-planted, or re-seeded on an annual basis, willow has a lifespan of about 36 years. Thus, once planted, willow provides 36 years of continuous crop production without the need for annual ploughing, re-seeding, or re-planting. Instead, it is simply re-harvested every two years, and the cycle continues, making it a sustainable option for wood fuel.
Burning characteristics:
WillowWarm is perfect for all stoves and open fires. Generating excellent heat with an attractive flame, you can expect an active burn time of up to 1.5 hours from each briquette. The rounded square shape is practical and popular because it stops the heat log from rolling on the fire.
Perfect for:
Suitable for both stoves and open fires, WillowWarm Briquettes are a great size for most small to medium stoves and open fires, so do not need to be broken, which minimises mess and handling. They expand approximately 30% of their length whilst burning.
None of our briquettes contain additives or chemicals. Made from pure, untreated wood sawdust, WillowWarm Briquettes are held together by compression alone.

Packaging
WillowWarm Briquettes come in a shrink-wrapped pack. Please check with your local authority for recycling facilities.
Manufacturers widely use plastic to wrap briquettes, ensuring that they stay dry. A damp briquette breaks up, making it unsuitable for burning. We genuinely care about the environmental impact of our products, and are constantly working to improve the sustainability of our packaging by using cardboard in place of plastic wherever possible.
