Energo Hard Top
Energo Hard Top briquettes are a top of the range, extremely dense nestro made from clean de-barked oak. Made in Czech Republic, they are very dense and have an excellent long, hot burn. They also leave a low ash of around 0.6%. Each briquette weighs 2kg so these are well suited to the larger stove, but can, and should, be broken in half for smaller stoves. They will expand as they burn on a hot fire, so place across the fire and break into small enough sections to leave room for expansion – around about 30-40%.
These heavy 2kg briquettes give out steady heat with a lovely flame. They burn for around two to three hours depending on airflow and they give off excellent heat for the duration of their burn time. Once the flame has died down, you get a long glow time from them.
For all-day heating and maintaining a constant room temperature (full briquettes burn longer than hollow briquettes). The briquettes are well suited for open fires (broken into sections, as they will expand), and stoves that are sensitive to ash content.
None of our briquettes contain additives or chemicals. They are made from pure, untreated wood by-product and are held together by compression alone.

Energo Hard Top come in a plastic pack. Please check with your local authority for recycling facilities.
Plastic is widely used for wrapping briquettes, in order to ensure that they stay dry, as a damp briquette will break up and be unsuitable for burning. The environmental impact of our products is important to us, so we work constantly with our suppliers to improve the sustainability of their packaging by encouraging the use of cardboard in place of plastic wherever possible.
