Blazers are excellent softwood briquettes, made in Wales from 100% virgin timber, sustainably sourced in the UK. They are FSC and Woodsure (Ready to Burn) certified. Blazers are an ideal multi purpose briquette in that they can be broken into sections to enable easy lighting and the half or full briquettes make a perfect main fuel.
Blazers are easy to light and long lasting, making them a perfect log replacement. They produce a very attractive flame and generate good heat for around 1.5 to 2 hours (depending on stove settings). Blazers are highly compressed giving a dense briquette, which means they don’t shed lots of dust or particles. They have a lovely rich honey colour and a hole through the centre, which assists air flow.
Blazers expand lengthways as they burn, so remember to place them across the firebox, in order to prevent them touching the door or falling onto the hearth. We recommend breaking them into half or smaller, as this makes them easier to control as they burn.
They are perfectly suited for lighting from the start. Break them up into 3 or 4 sections, put a Waxling fireligher beneath and away it goes. Alternatively, use whole or in halves as a main fuel, for quick and convenient heat.
None of our briquettes contain additives or chemicals. They are made from pure, untreated wood by-product and are held together by compression alone.

Blazers come in a plastic outer, which is widely recyclable. Please check with your local authority for recycling facilities.
The briquetting industry uses plastic to wrap wood briquettes in order to ensure they stay dry, as damp briquettes break up and are unsuitable for burning. The environmental impact of our products is important to us, so we are constantly working with our suppliers to improve the sustainability of their packaging by using cardboard in place of plastic wherever possible.
